Im no recruiting guru but Damn, as Rocky pointed out, Hoke and company are not messing around like Dickrod did almost ignoring these 2 states Michigan and Ohio. This looks really bad (so far) for MSU (?).

As a State fan I would have enjoyed another couple years of DickRod ... even if they had become highly successful .... because DickRod and Dantonio weren't after the same type of player.

Hoke & Company will be much tougher to recruit against.

I think you may be giving the current crop of Pistons' PGs too much credit. I could easily see him taking Will Bynum's minutes. Hell, Stux may not be back so that opens up a lot of PT.

I don't think so. He's a wonderful raw talent who makes a lot of mistakes. I read, BTW, that 69 underclassmen had declared for the draft. If they all stay, they won't all even be drafted. But Morris looks like second round material to me.

There's going to be some team in the 15-20 range desperate for a point guard in a point guard thin draft, and they'll be taking him.

That's why Morris is coming out now.

In a draft devoid of point guards, someone is going to reach for Morris, as incomplete as his game is. He's done the footwork, and the result he got was, "late first round." There's no guarantee he'll get a better slot next year.

Nah.. I dont agree with it. Yeah he had some good numbers (especially his Assists) but this is an up and coming team. They really couldve shinned and he'd been thrust higher next year with him at the helm.

Stupid move. He's no where near ready. When he falls to the 2nd round he'll regret it.

He's not going to slide to the second round.

Some team in the mid to late first is either going to be desperate for a point guard or want one to groom. Don't be bitter about his chances because you wanted him to come back.

I thought so too but those assist numbers are really really good (didn't realize until looking at them).

If he's hearing he's going to be a 1st rounder its hard to blame him for going pro. I doubt I would turn down millions.
