Michigan has its first verbal commitment under new coach Brady Hoke, thewolverine.com reported today.
Three-star recruit Tamani Carter from Pickerington (Ohio) Central, a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback, committed to U-M on Wednesday. Carter had been committed to Minnesota, a pledge he made Jan. 9, according to rivals.com.
Carter gives U-M 11 verbal commitments for the 2011 class, which can begin signing binding letters of intent on Feb. 2.
Carter also reportedly had scholarship offers from Arizona, Iowa, Stanford and others.

I'm wondering about body type, thinking about Rock. A 6'5" kid could easily lay on 30 or 40 lbs by the time he's through a couple years of college.

My brother-in-law was a string bean linebacker/end going to CMU, the first thing they told him he had to do was start drinking beer to gain weight.

Yes it is, Brady Hoke has already met with Raymon Taylor, of Highland Park who has committed to Indiana, we will see if Hoke changed his mind soon.
