If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

  • I see that Les Miles just signed a 3 year extension. He may not want to coach at Michigan, but I be he surely loves Michigan...Ha!

    • Has anyone ever said if he was offered the job? I didn't get to see much of the coverage yesterday. I would think you'd hear one way or the other and Brandon's comments about finding out about a coach in a 3 hour talk was pretty strange.

Brandon clearly stated no one else was offered the job. [/Factual Reporting] [Joke] Hoke accepted the job 2 months ago, that walk from San Diego to Ann Arbor takes some time!

        • It probably took him that long to psych himself up. He seemed awfully reluctant to take the job.

From Drew Sharp's column this morning:
The CEO got an education. He admitted his naivety, in a way, believing he could conduct his business privately as if it were a corporate board room. But Brandon learned that the firing and hiring of college football coaches becomes a public forum -- especially when the program still believes it's big-time like Michigan.
"It was an enlightening experience in many aspects," he said.
He chastised the media as well as the Internet rumor mill for making his job the past six weeks that much more difficult, but then he was quickly reminded that it wasn't the media's role to make things "easier" for those in positions of authority. Just because he desired keeping the public in the dark doesn't stop those from searching for a light switch.

                • I'm sure it's a learning process going from a big shot CEO of a big, private company to being an employee of the people of the state of Michigan.

                        Amen.

I don't understand how you can absolutely know a man will fail before he even gets a shot.

                          • I don't know if he will fail or not, but Les Miles is hoping Hoke only makes it couple of years so he can use Michigan's interest in him as a bargaining chip for a third time.

Les is getting rich off of Michigan and they haven't paid him a dime...Ha!

I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
