Yep, which is why I don't listen to people who want to quote offensive statistics. They didn't score when it mattered against quality opponents.
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Most games I have seen of theirs even against teams "worse" then them, they rarely get the jump on the scoring. They don't start scoring till the defense lets up with a lead and then catch up so fast that the defense doesn't have a chance to tighten up again before the game is really close again.

I didn't see any defenses letting up. Michigan's offense is very hit or miss; if you catch Robinson at the line he's down, but if he squirts through it's 15 yards or even six points. It's just law of averages.

            • I think that offense is more balanced when Tater Tot is in there. But his big problem is not knowing when to throw the ball away.

              • Which I don't get. The RBs haven't been bad, but the number of straight QB runs they've called is ridiculous. You'd think that with the threat Robinson poses, they'd have a great opportunity to run with their RBs. But like I've said, RR seems obsessed with big plays, and Denard is their big play guy, so if it isn't working with Denard in their running game, he goes straight to the passing game.

                • Yeah, I've said this before but it reminds me of the John L Smith offense with Stanton at the helm. They don't run the exact same offense but its fairly close in that they run the QB a lot. Big plays were always there for the RBs, especially with the counter draw out of the spread.

                  • In other news, it looks like John Belien has a quality team. They thrashed Clemson on the road last night, and just about every key player was a freshman or sophmore.

                    • I was impressed with Jordan Morgan. You need a legitimate big man; he made mistakes but showed excellent potential.

I don't follow it very closely, but as far as I can tell Bill "Don't Call Me Ed" Martin did a lot of good for Michigan athletics, in particular with the upgrading of the football stadium and of other facilities. And it's not like all 27 sports blow; I've enjoyed watching the softball team on the national stage, for instance, and hockey has been strong. People who see Brandon as a "savior" may be saying, "Save us from Rich Rodriguez!" and are only interested in football. RichRod was a big mistake, but Martin was not in position to correct it, having announced and then consummated his retirement too early to fire Rich. So for football only M fans, any ol' AD would be the "savior."

Then he needs to put it on the wall.

If we lose all these recruits and have a few bad years under harbaugh, (scheme change, bare cupboard, where have I heard this before) a bunch of tools will be wanting him fired, and then we're ND.

I'm fine with going with harbaugh, but at least GO with him. Sitting around is just costing us a recruit class people will hold against harbaugh later.
