Yeah DB. The ammount of destruction he has done to that roster in terms of size alone will take years alone if the next coach is a traditional Big Ten coach could take years to massage away. I expect a rash of rookies next season and MSU to have gone 5-0 before they are competitive again.

Valenti made some interesting points about the walverines excuses regarding their inexcusibly bad defense .. namely they are young. Compare them to the youth the Spartans have with their 2-deeps on the field however.

Other than a veteran linebacking corps that is a really young defense. Future looks good, especially if they can lock up Doran Grant. Point is that the Spartans are trotting young players and coaching them up to a reasonably succesful talent.

Mr I'm no Vince Lombardi and even if I were, I wouldn't have the time to apply it ... can't seem to get it right.

That's interesting mass. How many of those frosh and sophs are redshirt frosh and sophs?

Not sure ... I know Gholston is a true freshman, along with Bullough, Dennard, Lewis. So that's 4 who are getting significant minutes, though none are starters.

Red shirt frosh include ... Allen, Drone, France, Jones.

no red shirts sophmores ... true sophmores include ... Adams, Hoover, Norman, Treadwell & Worthy.

The two LB's will be the hardest to replace. They've both been really good. I know we signed a highly touted punter last year so that shouldn't be problem, and A couple of good OT prospects are anxious to get their turn.

Point is .. the Spartans are a young team as well.
