This defense is not good. A decent QB makes them pay drive after drive. Hopefully, they have enough of a cushion when (if) Crist is deemed ready to play again.

Not really.

If Crist is deemed able to play, I don't see this horrid defense stopping the Irish. Like, at all. The Wolverines managed to get a bit of a cushion if he does come back. Hopefully it'll be enough.

Tough call...I understand that's the rule but how do you teach a defensive player to instinctively not make that tackle.

It is what it is I don't fault the kid. Way, way too easy for an arm chair QB to watch that play in slow mo and talk about how stupid it was
