I wouldn't have deferred to the second half with this defense. You defer when your defense kicks ass, not when they've displayed they can't stop anyone to date.
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Gotta give Robinson credit... once he had the opportunity to see what the ND defense was doing in the secondary to contain him, he made the right read on their next possession.

That was the ugliest flee flicker I have ever seen.
That was UM D right there.
Don't know what you guys are complaining about.
You answered your own question there, Panoptes.
That was the worst decision on a flea flicker I've seen in a while. If Notre Dame doesn't beat themselves on that play, the UM defense doesn't do it. The defense under Rodriguez has been putrid at best, and it looks like SOP from what I've seen so far this year.
Yeah... once Crist was knocked out the game, the ND Offense can't move the ball.
Meanwhile, Robinson showing off a very sound (not exceptional, but effective) arm, putting the ball nicely in the soft zones the ND defense is creating by devoting so much attention to Robinson's ground threat. He is looking like a Heisman candidate with the dual-threat he's demonstrated early this season.

Not from where I'm sitting (as an uninterested 3rd party). JFC, I'm writing like a Bears fan.
Reading and reacting with an INT is an example of a good defensive play and awareness.
