Not according to recruiting services on Signing Day, but in terms of actual results it is most assuredly true. Lots of attrition with those Michigan classes. Charlie Weis had players, he just couldn't translate talent into wins. As for Kelly, he has a 5-star QB in Crist, Michael Floyd, Kyle Rudolph, and Armando Allen on offense. I don't think he can complain about that.

      • Roy Roundtree, Carvin Johnson doubtful

Michigan could be missing two starters when it visits rival Notre Dame on Saturday.
Coach Rich Rodriguez said Monday that receiver Roy Roundtree is doubtful and safety-linebacker Carvin Johnson is "very doubtful" after suffering injuries in the opener against Connecticut.

Roundtree, who led Michigan with 32 receptions for 434 yards in 2009, has internal bruises after taking a big hit early in the third quarter.

Johnson sprained his knee and wore a brace after the game. Redshirt freshman Thomas Gordon or sophomore Floyd Simmons will step in for Johnson if he can't play, Rodriguez said.

Michigan already is down one starter in the secondary, as cornerback Troy Woolfolk likely will miss the season with an ankle injury.

"We're kind of hanging on in the secondary a little bit," Rodriguez said.
Michigan will issue its official injury report Thursday night.

              • Jaadam has a hard on for a guy that barely escaped with a win against an undermanned team with 8 starters suspended on the final play of the game.

                Pay him no mind.

While i did want Les to come back home very badly, I dont care who's at the helm as long as it's not Rich.

I hate everything about the way he came to Michigan, shreading all those documents at WV, being taken to court over bonus money he received, NCAA violations for practices and last but not least bringing this bullshit offense to U of M.

It's like a soap opera that big blue doesnt need. The Uconn win was nice but once Robinson goes down for the season because he's the only offense we have we'll be outside looking in on the bowls yet again struggling to play .500 football.

and the sad thing is this is the easiest schedule i've ever seen U of M play

                        • I'm actually more excited about the UofM game this week than the MSU one. Thats a rarity for me, but this match-up is such a good one (unlike the MSU opponent.. though a game at ford field is cool).

The weekend after though... mmm yes yes.
