Here's the deal, Chemic. If someone is a jackass on this forum, they are going to get called out. It happens to all of us, some more than others (see Gonz). The problem is that you are almost always a jackass.

I sat by for quite a while and watched you spew because you asked me to. The problem with that is you then think you have free reign to post inane shit as if it is fact with no challenge.

That is not going to happen anymore. (that is when I take the time to read your shit rather than scroll past...)

My reaction here was because I wasn't trying to be. I wanted to make sure that I hadn't insulted someone unintentionally, which I am known to do. Since I hadn't... sure... release the batteries!

Bring it on... I guess. Personally I've felt I've held my tongue quite a bit (especially in the game threads this preseason), so don't pretend like this has been some sort of one sided agreement that only you have held to.

Who are you speaking too anyway? We all know how you feel about college football so why keep repeating it to the same people :-) not to take sides either - people who don't want to read his posts can skip them (its not that hard) . I already knew chemics take on this so I just skipped it. Now if Rockey will ever get out of the Michigan Fourm, I want to know who the bandanna girl is!

If everyone only said their opinion once, then never spoke it again, this forum would compose of ten threads with about fifty posts each.

Sometimes it's not bad to revisit arguments. Sometimes there are new developments. Sometimes, people change their mind (see also, my take on Mr. Jeff Backus).

In this case, SLF was talking about there's no Cinderella's in college football. My take was that there could be if the BCS allowed it. It moved into repeating an old argument. It happens.

There are times when I consider posting something and think, "No, some jackass like Chemi will feel the need to be Mr. Contrarian, and then I'll either have to ignore him or go back and forth over something trivial." It kind of ruins the experience, but I guess you see it as your role or your right or whatever. I bet others do the same - refrain from participating. Nine times out of ten I just scroll past. So don't bother responding; I won't.

I'm not taking sides hear because I haven't read all the posts. But this statement alone kind gives you the idea of why you got the response you did. You say most of the time you intentionally try to be a jackass. My question to you then is this; When is someone who is reading your posts supposed to know when you are NOT trying to be a jackass?

The problem with arguing about College Football's lack of a playoff system is that both sides try to ignore the fact that the system is in a state of relative equilibrium. There are a lot of parties interested in keeping the staus quo. Those parties are not going away no matter how faulty you may find the system. Conversely, on the status quo side, they should know that there are a lot of people who find fault with the current system.

The changes will be made incrementally, I doubt they ever get to a full fledged playoff system.

I keep hearing in the news that the Michigan-Ohio State game might not be able to be played at the end of November like it traditionally has been. I don't understand why it would have to be moved because of this new realignment thing?

Personally I think Michigan and Ohio state should be in the same division so The Game means something and they only meet one time each year, but even if they are in opposite divisions, why couldn't they play The Game that last week of the regular season?

Tennessee and Alabama are in opposite divisions but they play each other every year the third saturday of October like their tradition has held up.
