      • Nebraska to the Big Ten? A perfect fit. Another plodding, boring football team...

Yeah I hated watching Suh throw midget Texas QB's around like rag dolls.

          Real snooze fest.

          • After one of its members officiallly left for the Pac-10, Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe released a statement on Thursday afternoon.
The Big 12 Conference has been informed that the University of Colorado has accepted an invitation to join the Pacific-10 Conference. I continue to work through the process that was agreed upon last week by our Board of Directors to address membership issues, and are working tirelessly towards the long-term viability of the Big 12.
Beebe's come under heavy criticism throughout the realignment process for making the conference appear reactive rather than proactive, among other things. This statement won't help that. But Beebe has maintained all along that the conference preferred to remain at 12 teams, rather than expand like the Big Ten or Pac-10.

He maintains he's done all he can do to save the conference, at least in its current form. He probably has. But as of this morning, he's officially failed.

ND's numbers on NBC have steadily declined over the years

The potential cash from being in the big ten and an expanded big ten network is pretty huge. They might even get a sweat heart deal for extra revenue to join the big ten too because of the ND clout and viewer ship they would bring.

                It could happen.

                  • Their ratings on NBC has declined because the product on the field has. When Brian Kelly gets that program turned around and a top 10 program the ratings will go back up.

As long as the Big East is there for them to participate in with their other sports the football team will stay Independent.

A lot of it has to do with the other schools thinking Texas has gotten special treatment from the conference. That and money, Nebraska will get a lot more of it in the Big 10

That's right and Tom Osborn and Nebraska got sick of it. ND can suck it too! The Big Ten don't need to pod to them, I used to like Barry Alvarez and Wisconsin now their sucking up to ND to strike a deal for 2012 through the 2015 season. They don't want to join the conference, but they play half the teams.

                        • So will the Big 10 now be called the Big 12? And the Big 12, the Big 10?

                          • Texas and Texas A&M have apparently petitioned the Big 10 for membership.

Add in Nebraska, and that would be 14, a nice even number.

Adding Texas and Nebraska to the big ten is a pretty big deal. Thats some serious football (and basketball for texas) firepower.

                              • From everything that I have read and heard, Texas is the grand prize in all of this. Texas to the Big Ten would be huge $$ for all involved
