This is your argument now? LMFAO! The headcoach is only saying that so he "can take our minds off the lucky shot"??? Yeah. Brilliant. That's about as good as your play no defense because there's only a 10 percent chance of it going in theory. Fucking idiot.

Jesus Christ you are such a bona fide tard.

No, my argument is that you're a fucking butthurt irrational sore loser that wouldn't accept any reason outside of Beilein admitting he screwed up in every way.

So he gave you what you and other Walmart Wolverines wanted. He obviously hasn't been in AA long because he doesn't know that irrational dipshits like you never shut up.

Lets see here. Do I go with the article where Beilein himself admits that it was a terrible strategy or do I go with some fucking idiot sports forum poster named Chemiclord whose only backing on his argument is that he supposedly knows what the headcoach is saying even though the headcoach said something different entirely.

              Man, that's a tough one.

              • He didn't say it was a terrible strategy, he said they played it wrong. He was trying to do what a couple of us said; keep the ball from going deep into the M end of the court and giving up a good shot. They just allowed it to get deeper than they wanted. He wanted to keep them farther from the bucket than they did.
It was still a desperation heave, regardless.

His expectation was that the Buckeyes would try to get the ball inside to tie the game, so Beilein had his players clog the area under the basket.
"My thinking the whole time is they're so athletic and with 2.2 seconds, it's incredible what can get done if you allow them to catch the ball down at your end of the court," he said.

"In a jump-ball situation, (David) Lighty, Evan Turner and (William) Buford win that jump ball every time, they're just so athletic.

"We wanted to make them make a half-court shot and just play it soft and stay between them and the basket, and we just picked it up a little late, and that falls as my responsibility.

"We wanted to pick the ball up right away, when I saw Stu (Douglass) off too far I should have called a quick timeout.

"The ball was going inbounds and I couldn't do it. (Turner) should have made a 55-footer instead of a 40-footer, and that's the explanation I have."

                  • ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon announced today (Thursday, March 18) a historic night football game at Michigan Stadium between the Wolverines and Notre Dame on Sept. 10, 2011. It will be the first-ever primetime game played at home in the history of Michigan football.
This will be the first meeting between the Wolverines and Irish in primetime since a 1990 matchup of top-five teams in South Bend. ESPN or ESPN2 will broadcast the game nationally starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
"This will be an unprecedented game day atmosphere that our fans have not experienced at Michigan Stadium," said Brandon. "It's a great opportunity to showcase our program, university and Ann Arbor to a primetime viewing audience. This also adds a new chapter to the storied rivalry between our two great programs."
"Our players have always enjoyed playing night games and I think it's something that our fans will truly enjoy and embrace," said Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez. "I expect the atmosphere will be electric for this matchup at the Big House."
U-M played three night games at Notre Dame during a nine-year span, losing all three contests by less than a touchdown in South Bend. The 1990 contest featured a pair of top-five teams, with the top-ranked Irish edging out the fourth-ranked Wolverines, 28-24, on a touchdown pass with less than two minutes remaining.

                            • TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez has been sued along with several business partners by a company that says it has yet to be repaid for a $1 million loan.

The suit filed in federal court last month by the West Columbia Trading Company of South Carolina claims a corporation formed to develop 60 condominiums near Alabama's football stadium owes more than $995,000 plus interest on a $1 million loan for the project made in 2006.

Rodriguez is listed among those accused of defaulting on the loan.
