  • he's a %29 3-point shooter because he's used to shooting over double-teams, with him being the best wing player in all of college basketball.

Wide open, that percentage goes up drastically, even from 35+ feet.

And Putting little ass Stu Douglass on him was about the same as telling the ball boy to go out and bother him. I doubt Turner even saw him there.

      • I would have put someone on the inbound pass. He was wide open, but had to get the shot off quickly - it still HAS to be a lucky shot to go in, lets not nick pic about what the % of him making it. This is a team not even good enough for the NIT.

        • they had a legit chance of making the big dance. One stop and the only obstacles between them and the big dance would have been a beatable Illinois team and a Minnesota team they smoked twice this year.

Did they deserve to be there? No, but that doesnt change the fact they had a golden opportunity to save their season and they blew it.

          • It was a terribly disappointing year, most people had some high hopes after last year. I don't think the upset would have saved it.

            • Winning the big 10 tournament would have.

Shit, just getting to the finals would have gotten them into the NIT, which would still have been a disappointment, but at leas they'd have a chance to keep on playing.

I feel bad for Deshawn Sims. His distinguished U-M career ends on this shitty note.

If Manny Harris comes back, U-M has a chance to make it back next year, providing there is someone over 6'4" on their roster.

              • LOL! Kstat, you are a stupid shit. He makes that shot one out of 20 times.

By the way, the percent sign goes after the number, dumbass.

                    • It was a poorly designed defensive strategy, for sure. Turner hit a great shot/lucky shot, but UM made it as easy as it could have been within 2.2 seconds.

                          Exactly.

Nobody is arguing that it was a high percentage shot. But at that point that was the BEST POSSIBLE LOOK that they could have had. Why just give it to him??? What kind of sense does that make?

"Just let him have it. I mean for fuck's sake guys there's only like a 10% chance of it going in. No defense here, team."

                          LMFAO! Awesome strategy.

                          • That was a prayer of a shot and there was a defender there. I wish they would have defended the inbound pass though.

                            • I think the defense did what they intended. They kept them from getting a reasonable shot. As opposed to getting a decent look from closer to the bucket, I would give them that shot every single time.

I agree on pressuring the pass, though.

                              • I agree with that CGVT. You could tell from where the shot was taken and where the defense was at the time. They had a perimeter they wanted to cover and did so. That's why the defender had to lunge. I don't disagree with that theory at all. That was a long ass shot.
