The time for Les Miles has come and gone for him at Michigan, the great divide at Michigan is so large you will need a unifier if they fire Rodriguez.

BTW, has Jim Harbaugh always been such an ass? I know he sort of burned his bridges with the program over his comments about their academics, but even if he hadn't he seems to have a major league ego he's toting around.

This is the part where I extoll the virtues of Lloyd Carr's curmudgeon approach to the media. He pretty much always shielded players from criticism and turned any waranted criticism into something about Carr versus the media. Rodriguez is a babbling brook up on the podium, he causes a lot of problems with his mouth.
You Michigan guys are going to go through some painful stuff, this great divide that is seemingly splitting the Athletic Department, Boosters and other hangers on is not going to get repaired when your head man is pretty much calling out Carr's recruiting classes for finishing last. Especially when its BS, Michigan in its last years under Carr may have pulled in less than what they used to, but not by much. And surely not last place talent in the big ten.
State fans suffered through the insider infighting for nearly 40 years. Actually probably even longer because Biggie Munn hired Daugherty and then immediately began hating him. It cost them Saban pretty quickly and it led to silly decisions like Hiring Williams and Smith

Of course he's blaming Carr. That's his only out to try and cover the fact that he's been a joke of a HC at UM. He's been the worst coach in Michigan history up to this point. He's in a panic and pointing the finger is his only option for the douche.
I said earlier that I wanted his sorry ass fired but after some long thinking I'm going to have to hold off on that, only because if we go in yet another direction we're going to be set back even further. So far though this guy has been an epic disaster of biblical proportions.
We all knew that this would take some time and some growing pains, but worst team in the Big Ten? That's ALL on Rich. Not LC.AAL: KhaDarel Hodges

Right now you can set back the program even farther if you keep him and he muddles to a 7-5 record next year, not enough to fire him but thoroughly mediocre. People were looking at Rodriguez to be some coach to take the team to the next level from what Carr got them to. There is nothing in his Michigan tenure to suggest that he is that type of guy, he needs an absolute 180 degree turnaround to get to the level that Carr was at. And really there wasn't that evidence at WVU either. He had some high profile wins, but his record in low scoring smash mouth games was very bad. Those are the type of games you need be be really good to beat OSU.
2 years in Rodriguez is about as good as Matt Miilen was in his tenure with the Lions. The Lions set themselves back really badly the last 3 years when they kept Marinelli.
