The Problem is you have a coach you brought in to to complete change cultures. The problem was last season was disappointing, and he is acting like Carr got fired. So while the UofM brass wanted a shift, Rich Rod wants to start fresh. So the question is one of the worse seasons this century worth the success that Rich will probably have here, considering the success this team might always have.
I just hope he doesn't pull a Saban/Rodriguez type move leave you guys hanging at the end of a season. I hope he knows coaching UofM means coaching it for decades.

What had to be re-built exactly?
The team he took over was 9-4 the previous year .... and hadn't finished worse than 3rd in the conference in more than 10 years. DickRod better find away to beat 1 of Minnesota, Northwestern or Ohio State otherwise there is a distinct possibility of finishing dead effing last.Forever One!

Michigan freshman receiver Darryl Stonum has been charged by an Ann Arbor prosecutor on two counts: operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
The alleged offense occurred Sept. 28 at 3:30 a.m., according to Ann Arbor court records. The complaint was issued on Oct. 17, and a notice to appear was issued Monday. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19.
Stonum was suspended for the Wolverines' game against Illinois on Oct. 4 for what coach Rich Rodriguez called "a violation of team rules."
During today's Big Ten teleconference, Rodriguez said Stonum's discipline is already concluded in his mind.
"That’s already been addressed and issued and disciplined and dealt with a few weeks back," Rodriguez said.I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!

Yeah, he was Lloyd's doing. Nevertheless...I was ambivalent about RichRod. I thought Carr was very good, and Rodriguez' reputation was as someone who could turn limited resources into champions. We will find out in a year or two how he does in a conference where everybody recruits nationally and is on TV all the time. I surely don't like what I've seen so far; not only is the ballclub wretched and we've had a couple guys in trouble with the law, but Rich has really come across as an asshole.I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!

I think Michigan is one of those jobs that the pressure is intense. I think only Notre Dame and Alabama are tougher. I don't think Rodriguez was prepared for this scrutiny. I think this is where Carr was very underrated, Carr was very good at circling the wagons, shielding the players from media criticism. He came across as a curmudgeon but he rarely exposed the players and that helps when times are tough.
