Final official rankings for the playoffs will be December 8. I'm looking forward to it. This year will be the first year in history that every team that has a legit claim to be the best in the nation will have the opportunity to play for the championship.
I've always hated that CFB never had a real championship, that the champion was awarded based on feelings and not by the game. Just like figure skating.
Michigan had been playing better near the tail end of the year, that combined with the Buckeyes leaving a lot of plays on the field led to a historic upset.
I had said that Michigan could win, but they'd pretty much have to have their best game of the year, and the Buckeyes would have to play their worst. And that's... pretty much what happened.
This wasn't Michigan's best game on offense, especially since they were missing their best offensive player, and then lost Edwards before the half! And with Will Johnson out for the 7th straight game, it could be argued that they were without their best defensive player, as well.
Admittedly, I didn't see it coming but I'm sure happy that it did!
The football team flipped back a flipper, Nathaniel Marshall, a defensive lineman from outside of Chicago who is ranked #55 in the 247 Composite. He originally committed to Michigan in late-April, then flipped to Auburn in late-August, and is now back in the fold.
If you want to feel old, his grandfather is Ken "The Snake" Norman. Norman played hoops for Illinois in the late-80's and then was with the Clippers, Bucks, and Hawks. His last season in the league was '96-'97.
The early signing period starts tomorrow. There may be some more flips coming our way. In the meantime, the current recruiting class ranks #7 overall.

Kinda cool, Ken Norman was in my graduating class at Illinois (he left early for the NBA)
The #3 comment on the Ohio St-Oregon postgame thread was "I genuinely have no idea how good Michigan is"
As an Illinois fan, I'm not excited about Michigan having a legit good QB next year
Also, I am totally reveling in the performance of the SEC. Sooooo satisfying to see the vastly overrated SEC go down in flames. I hate OSU, but I'd still prefer that they blow out Texas.
