I don’t care about any of it. Ohio is the only thing that matters. I had zero expectations for this season and watching Michigan blow them out made my year.

Secondly, the wine and cheese brigade needs to be retired for all time. That environment in Ann Arbor was truly bananas. They need to bring that advantage to every home game.

I get that...to a degree. But you don't come this far to not take advantage of this. Since the BCS/College Football Playoffs/Conference Championship games have become a thing, Michigan has NEVER been in this position. They've never been this far.

Take advantage of it, because you never know when you'll be here again.

This I can agree with.

But being okay or being indifferent to a losing outcome this Saturday night with Iowa, just because Michigan upset Ohio State...no.

Yeah, I agree that M shouldn't be satisfied with only thumping OSU. There are other goals in reach now, and as Harbaugh said in the locker room after the game, "this is the beginning".

Funny, but if you look at the CFB rankings, UGA is who UM would likely be playing in the Semi-Final if ALA wins and everyone else takes care of their business. Oh, and expect Cinci to get shut out if that happens. Smooth move eliminating the roadblock (ND) to moving a team above Cinci in the final poll.

ALA win and the poll would look something like this:
#1 ALA vs #4 OSU
#2 UM vs #3 UGA

If they had left ND at 5 I'd agree with you. It pretty much sends the message - win and you are in.
Moving OSU to 5, and them playing a higher ranked opponent - that door is wide open for Cinci to get hosed.
Seen this kind of thing happen before - even with traditional powerhouses let alone an "outsider".

Cincy will win and they’ll def be in. They won’t last long but hell just making it is a huge accomplishment

I bet the committee is pulling pretty hard for Georgia, M Cinci and Baylor this weekend. Sure, they lose out on Alabama in that scenario, but they can replace them with M and ND, two blue blood programs that pull in big audiences. Plus they get to throw the Group of 5 a bone without screwing over a 1 loss power conference team that doesn’t have a National following in Ok State.
