Yes....but as Dawkins also said.....the coaches that aren't paying are also turning a blind eye to other forces at the universities that are.

The 2 guys I knew.......the coaches were never involved with paying players. That's the boosters' job. The booster clubs have the money for those things......maybe Izzo isn't working directly with them like Pitino was, but he damn sure knows what's going on. Izzo isn't really clean.....he just manages it in a way that keeps dirt as far away from him as possible.

Izzo plays the game. If you want bluechip players its what you have to do. Football you can get away with running a clean'ish football program and putting out winning teams. Basketball is a completely different story especially with the 1 and dones.

I'm sure Izzo was as clean as Beilein (or vise versa).......but for the reasons listed above: No one is clean. I know you (Like Jadaam) wants to think your favorite program is clean.

Let me help you....it's not. Nearly every player on every top D1 team is being paid and/or receiving benefits deemed illegal by the NCAA.

I never said that once. I'm sure there's a lot of college coaches that run clean programs. I said I was proud of Beilein for running a clean program and being largely successful at it. Beilein rarely had top recruits. He unearthed unknowns and took Michigan to several championship games then sent them to the NBA.

He never won it all but he damn sure came close.

And back to the paying kids.. I'm onboard with it. I think these kids should get paid and they're just using the system to get a piece of the pie. These universities, sports broadcasting stations, sponsors, internet outlets, casinos etc are all making out like bandits.

Gibbons and Lewan are worthless pieces of shit for that and the university should indeed be shamed for the way that was handled. Bo would have strangled them both then kicked their asses to the curb. Harbaugh hasn't done shit for winning the big games but he damned sure wouldn't tolerate even whispers of that nonsense.
