"It was luck, but the Wolverines were trying to hang on in the second half. They almost did it."
-----------------------------------SO WHAT!!!. MSU Didn't take advantage. Um made the plays when they had too. HUGELY LUCKY win for MSU. HUGELY!!
"I didn't think of it prior to the play, but I imagine Harbaugh will make sure that if they are ever in that situation again he will tell the punter to fall on the fucking ball if he fumbles the snap..."
---------------------------------------I thought it was stupid when HArbaugh called a TO before the punt. Let the clock run and punt. Game over. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I'm just laughing because the GD announcers kept fn droning on about Harbaugh this, Harbaugh that and how his 4 hr practices were supposed to help the team finish unlike last year. Then the time out before the punt and then the punter shows he was not properly coached on how to handle that situation.
It was not luck by msu, they played to the end like they are supposed to and apparently are well coached to do whereas UM shit the bed like their big brother pros over in Detroit proper.
let's just be honest, It was a great game. Both teams played hard and neither really drastically outplayed the other. Hence why it was close enough for one mistake to allow the Spartans to capitalize and win. Sucks for UM fans but it wasn't just luck. Really a great game to watch. I hope they are all like this going forward for the next few years. It's much funner to watch when it's close in this rivalry.
I wasn't even going to be upset if the Spartans lost, It was such a fun game to watch. Both teams had a chance to make some plays to take the lead or put it out of reach and failed, both made enough to be able to be in position to win.

this.
add that it will make the fuck stick Lions that much less appealing to watch
The only logical explanation is:
I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder
That was truly a miracle ... both teams made a great case for deserving of the win. McGarret Kings was absolutely sick having thought his two dropped passes were the difference in the game.
I was bummed having thought it was over and frustrated because it looked as though a depleted State team was going to lose a game they had a great chance to win despite the injuries and Harbaugh!
I thought the officiating was brutal for both teams ... that one TD that wasn't and the targeting call were both disgusting ... as well as Pendleton being called short when he was clearly in.
Prophetic for someone who said it would be special teams that decided it. To bad for Jalen Watts-Jackson who broke his hip on the game winning TD.
For fun stats ... State led the game for exactly zero seconds, but won the game.
I still don't get the TO before the punt. That doesn't make any sense.
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Clearly the best option, but as i watched it a few times i wonder if just a plain old soccer kick straight off the ground wouldn't have worked also, but then I'm asking if that's even legal.
4th and 3 on the Michigan State 47, with 10 seconds and MSU with no timeouts. Run the fucking ball. You get the 1st down, game over. You don't, MSU has 5 seconds left and is out of FG range, not that they trust their FG anyway.
Michigan didn't need points, so there is no sense putting the ball in the hands of the long snapper and a kicker. Put game in the hands of your O-line, RB and if necessary your defense to stop 1 hail mary play.
Hate to say it, but Harbaugh made a Lionesque mistake - and that level of mistake inevitably is going to cost you a chance to win a game you had in the bag.

Agreed.
When they lined up to punt I looked at Mrs. Malto and said WTF? Go for it! If you don't make it, they only have time for one play.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
Desmond getting tripped, Spartan Bob and now this. Sparty's had some crazy end of the game wins, though it seems to be limited to one a decade (unless I'm forgetting something)
