Nope. Because I don't gamble. And never have. You should know this. I've said it repeatedly over the last twenty years every time some hothead like you wanted me to "put money down."

I'm just calling it like I see it. Any scout that came to see McCarthy did not leave impressed. When faced with the sort of pressure J.J. would see every week at the NFL level, his own team shut him down and turned him into Noah Kim. And I can promise you that didn't go unnoticed by any of those scouts.

Well, I've suspected for a while that literacy and attention span weren't exactly your forte.

Man that stadium is legit. Every time Michigan plays there it’s like their fan base is rabid and loud as f. That white out game a few years back was crazy.

Penn State has a top tier program that can compete / recruit with anyone but Franklin will hold them back. He’s a terrible coach

it was cool to see Coach Moore let out all of that emotion in that interview. I can only imagine how much pressure he was on to win in that environment with a trip to the playoffs on the line.

I’m happy for him. That was a helluva win for a coach in that situation.

McCarthy is supposedly, in your assessment, the second best QB prospect behind Caleb Williams. But with a one-score game, would any of those teams run twenty-one straight running plays?

And it's not like the Wolverines running game was chewing up yards. They were facing 3rd and 7, and handing it off. You only do that when you don't think your QB can make a clutch pass. Like the Wolverines don't with J.J. McCarthy... because he's not the guy, and even his own team knows it.

McCarthy became a second round pick with this vote of no confidence from his own coaching staff.

Yeah, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. And I get it, I'm a Michigan fan, so I'm going to be seen as biased here. But I didn't at all see it as an indictment of JJ. I saw it as them (at least on this particular day) not trusting the protection. The pocket was disintegrating as soon as JJ dropped back. Penn State is one of the most lethal in the country at rushing the passer. They far and away have the most sacks in the B!G and may very well be the best in the country when it comes to that.

Couple that with the fact that Michigan was on the road in a very loud environment, they decided to put the game in the hands of the running game and the defense. And it worked.

If you can give JJ some decent protection, he's excellent. There's not a throw that he can't make. He can throw it on the move. He can tuck it and run. He has a career 5.5 total TDs to 1 int. ratio. 23-1 as a starter. 68% career completion percentage. He currently owns the 3rd highest QB rating in the nation. He's a very, very good quarterback.

No doubt. That's a brutal place to play. Particularly against a highly motivated Penn State team that still had a very viable path to the Big Ten Champiomship still.

Going in there and getting the W...that is indeed that's all that matters.
