Texas is a train wreck, and they only have themselves to blame. Their insistence to NOT share revenues with the rest of the Big 12 brought about the end of the Big 12. They aren't bigger than the conference - something both UM and OSU even though dominating for long stretches understood all too well. You need revenue sharing to keep a conference relevant and in turn you relevant.

Texas should be a perennial Top 10 team. There is literally nothing in their way but themselves. They created an environment where the players felt entitled, and since then they have been struggling to change it.

In the mean time, the changes to College Football have meant that instead of carrying a roster of the best players in the state (which happen to be a large part of the best players in the country), they lose them to teams like TCU, SMU, etc where instead of sitting on Texas bench they can play now.

FL has a great defense but Speight looks terrible. Ohio will be just as tough on D and have an offense.
