I'm disappointed in the 2nd half showings the past two weeks. You could understand tuning out a bit against overmatched Illinois. I didn't expect it against MSU, though I agree that I think Sparty is better than their 0-5 record in the B1G.
I totally wasn't expecting the 30 point spanking that some were, and just wanted to get the win, which they did.
It was that damn pick at the beginning of the second half.
If M scores there (as they did in all 5 possessions in the first half), I honestly think the flood gates open and we're looking at a 35-point win instead.
Jimmy didn't want to risk any mistakes on O so went in a shell the entire 2nd half, which in turn gave those f*cks some hope for a comeback.
Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.
They still have problems on the offensive line. Sparty was killing Speight on rushes after not showing any type of pass rush against inferior teams...and the run game was mediocre at best. Take away the few big edge runs by wr McDoom and Peppers and the Spartans controlled the rb's all day.
I still think UM's offense is slightly overated. Defense had a bad game as well. Hopefully, Brown can dial up a more fearsome D' plan..
I have a question. As a casual follower of both UM and Sparty, I am wondering how UM rose so quickly, while at the same time, Sparty has become less competitive? Do both schools recruit in the same pools of talent? Is UM beating the pants off Sparty on the recruiting side of things, or is Jim Harbaugh and his staff better at schemes, getting the most out of his players, etc. Obviously, the new factor is Jim Harbaugh, so how has he accomplished all of this so quickly? I have a lot of respect for Mark Antonio, so I am surprised at how quickly things have changed.
Combination....harbaugh has made a name for himself. Perception is huge. He also has gotten some good coaches with him...then kids you recruit have to perform. It is cyclical...MSU is down a little bit will be back soon ...

------------------------------------------------Brady Hoke recruited "talented" players but he couldn't coach. He also recruited pussy players who weren't tough. He recruited finesse players. They had talent but they were pussy's and Hoke coached them to be pussy's. Harbaugh took over with a bunch of Hoke's pussy's and turned them into a decent team. He has instilled more toughness and had a recruiting class. The team is better. They aren't anywhere a national championship team. They will be though in a year or two.
MSU lost a lot of players. I'm still dumbfounded at their drop even with that. Dantonio is one of the best coaches in the country. They will be back. Dantonio will get them there. Looking forward to it.

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

"Don't think you know this as of 10/31."
-----------------------------------Of course not. It's called an opinion. I'll put money on it though. What do you say $50.00. Alabama will do an MSU on them if UM manages to get that far. I'm not all that confident they win at OSU or this week.
