1 play ... from 2 yards out to decide a game? I'm surprised more coaches don't take those odds. U-M was moving it pretty good up to that point as well. I'll stand by the decision as being a good one.
In the end .... which a decision like that ... there isn't a right or wrong.
I disagreed as they lined up the first time, then again disagreed after the timeout. An overtime against OSU would have been epic. Then after the miss/loss, I thought that FGs play a pretty big part in OT, and we didn't have our reliable kicker. WTF, why not just go for it now.

The way they were able to make plays suggests that there is not question to go for it.
The play that was called and the throw to covered receivers can be questioned.
They got out coached on the last play of the game.
.......and I was surprised to see Brady wearing a headset in the 4th quarter.
I was getting ready to fire off a nasty letter to Dominos Dave to tell him that standing behind a HC that refuses to wear a headset that he can listen to his coaching staff is tantamount to refusing to look at video because that game is over and it does not matter what happened there.

Apparently, Ohio's D coordinator called the exact play UM would run during the timeout they took and that's why the DBs jumped Dileo rather than Funchess or Gallon.
The 7-5 Wolverines could have easily been 11-1. But they could have also just as easily been 3-9. I feel they most likely represent the latter. Both lines were horrid, but even with the loss of Lewan, the offensive line does not worry me as much as the defense does. Hand would have helped, but by no means a savior.
IMO that was a game where the team who had the ball last was probably going to win (neither team was doing much to stop the other). Even with a successful PAT or 2 PT conversion, OSU still only needed to get in FG range and had 30 seconds to do so - an eternity with College football rules.

Not really an eternity.
They were out of time outs and in order to stop the clock, would have to run the ball out of bounds.
I believe the clock continues to run on incomplete passes and first downs under the two minute mark.
