  • Ok you have no answer, it will be ok im giving Borges a pass till Hoke players are here to run his version of the WCO

    • The issue Froot is that they obviously had "enough practice" to run that formation in the first half repeatedly.

Did the players magically forget that practice at halftime? That's why the argument makes no sense.

From what I know and heard, until Robinson's injury, Gardner was not going to be discouraged if he wanted to transfer. He wasn't going to be the QB next year and they were clearing the way for Shane Morris. The Denard injury changed that. If you buy that, its not hard to imagine why they didn't devote time to such a package.

The moved Gardner to WR because of need and they were hoping they had another QB. The injury made it obvious that Gardner is the best QB they have and the best WR unfortunately.

I agree they should have had them both playing together from the beginning. However a college football program that had Gardner already up to date as a QB could have very easily put 30 plays together in a week for them both to be on the field together. Thats not a good excuse they did exactly what they wanted and they could have done better.

That is utterly false and delusional. You can't add 30 new plays in a week and expect any of them to be run with any type of precision. Thats one of the worst posts of this year.

Are you sure you're not one of the coaches in the stands I'm talking about?

Get it straight dude they would not have to run 30 new plays but im sure they could this isn't your kids elementary team. All they would have to do is switch one of them to WR and change some motion. They both know all the patterns and routes it would be nothing for them to do.

Besides you never answered why they could use them both in the first half against that school from Ohio then not in the second ?

They did what they wanted period and could have done more.
Probably smart not to since they will be far more worried about winning the Bowl game as opposed to beating Ohio this year !!!

            • Froot,

Where did you hear that stuff about Gardner? I also heard he wasn't happy, and was going through the motions. Then, suddenly, everything changed when Denard got hurt.

              • I've heard from some people I know. But I also heard the same thing on the radio. Take it for what its worth, it could be BS.

                • Its true, he was unhappy that he wasn't playing QB, and got frustrated (lazy). Can't say I blame him, 5 star QB coming out of HS. DR getting hurt is that silver lining :-)

I had to look it up before I believed it. I am surprised.

Of course you did, SEC losses don't count because the mighty mighty SEC never loses.

It's drew sharp logic. Every Michigan loss to the SEC counts as 10.

                          • Actually, SEC losses to other SEC teams are counted as wins in the computer.

                              • What a sluggish start the game had, Crisler Center looks like an well lighted NBA arena on tv with open spaces. Not sure if I like it, yea its not a dump anymore, but the students seem far off the court now.
