Ignoring the score for a minute the defense has been significantly better for UofM (it was just so bad before). If Borges tweaks the offense to be more DR friendly and the players just naturally start picking up the new systems better from experience they could be a very different (and better) team later in the year.

ND was a better team later in the year than earlier last year (first year of a new system) and I wouldn't be surprised UofM had a simular pattern as long as they don't get too beat up and down on themselves early off.

Does anyone think Denard will ever look natural as a pocket passer? I think UofM would be much better off using an option attack while Denard is the QB. Not necessarily an RR spread option but something more like what Navy does.

He is not a good fit for this offense, but even so, he has been the offense.

The problems in Ann Arbor extend much, much higher than the coaching staff. Mark my words, the infighting between the Schemblecher Camp and the Carr camp is not over... and if Hoke doesn't win against ND, MSU, and OSU (and do so quickly), the cries for his head will descend upon him fast.

Hoke's problem is that I don't see U-M having the talent he needs to get those critical wins.
