They went through the process and did shit right. I'm hoping it comes out that U of M did the same and thats why they knew Hoke was it.
Just win.
F#*K OHIO!!!

If Hoke realizes there are 3 phases to the game, then he's better than Rich Rod and worth blowing up his recruiting class and all the undersized defensive players lined up in it.
But this is a huge step down from Harbaugh or Miles. If, for some reason Ohio State were searching for a new HC, would Hoke even get a call?
Offense: Speeaks for itself, really.
Special teams: I can't imagine any of you actually thinking RR coached top recruit kickers to miss field goals, and RR signed another one away from boise. We also we have an excellent punter in Will Hagerup.
Defense: could have brought in a new coordinator without blowing everything up. And let's not forget, we had next to no upperclassmen around (lloyd carr recruits) and had a host of injuries to safeties leave us decimated.
The program is worse now than it was on january first. This is a failure.
All this said, it's in the past now. I will spend next year rooting for coach Hoke and the Wolverines as much as I would have for RR, or Harbaugh, or Niles, or anyone else not named Nick Saban. Go Blue. And Here's hoping I get to eat my words.

I didn't see any process at work other than one that predetermined Hoke. Its hard for me to believe that throughout the land Hoke is the 3rd best coaching prospect.
I don't think you can overlook several things in Hoke's hiring. One - this isn't the prestigious Michigan job it once was. Two - lots of bullshit with factions make the job less desirable. Three - We now have a coach that knows and loves Michigan. Four - he has support from a lot of former players. Five - He stresses defense and doesn't like basketball on grass. Six - he has recruited in the midwest. Seven - he's been through rebuilding projects before. Eight - He'll work tirelessly to prove himself.
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Thats only if they started this process after the bowl game like Brandon has said. I find it hard to believe that he hasnt been working on this for sometime now. Maybe not doing the interviews the way they shouldve but at least the backgrounds to find us a fit to dig us out of the dark ages.

"would be conducting a national search for our next football coach. S
ome would suggest we should complete this national search in a matter of hours, but this is a critical decision for Michigan Athletics and it cannot and will not be made in haste."
National search eh? Good thing it wasn't made in haste, and that they scoured the country to interview the exact 2 guys EVERYBODY knew they would.
The future is now tied to Brady Hoke. One time I wished I was wrong. A nationwide laughingstock, Mr. Brandon. Lloyd Carr is exultingly joyful, he got what he wanted 3 years ago, one of HIS guys is now HC. Carr has his stamp is on Michigan again for many years to come. I really hope Hoke succeeds, but along with a lot of laughing there is a big relief in Columbus and EL.
Its hard to believe that Carr is pulling the strings here.
