Miles turned around OK ST in a tough conference and has been consitently good at LSU.

To answer Froot's question, I think Miles' record makes him a viable candidate for any HC job. Hoke is only considered because of his ties to Michigan

Yeah, I guess if his name is all over the news every time Michigan is looking for a coach, it would tend to raise a guys profile. I think the Michigan tie brings him to the top of Michigan's list. I imagine he doesn't get a call every time a coach is fired somewhere in the country, though.

Three years from now when the fire Hoke, his profile will probably be raised again. Ha!

Even if they thought Miles would turn them down, they couldn't make it seem like he was never considered. I think this was a ploy to appease the fans and Les-supporting boosters.

Miles wanted to come. What was Brandon comfortable with offering him with. The coordinators at LSU make nearly 2 million combined. Were they going to do that and give Miles 5 million?

I'm sure Miles wanted to come, but like Rosenberg said, Brandon probably offered about 80 percent of what needed to be offered.
