So like SLF said - Lets go back to Bowls and Polls and name the team winning the polls "Best Team". Everybody is happy.

There has always been an attraction to watching men compete and perform at higher levels than others are capable. It's that attraction that brought sport to its huge money making industry. So what lesser condition fuels Kstat's underlying motive that you don't possess yourself?

And that's exactly what the playoffs are about. Middle aged, overweight guys using college boys to satiate their competitive urges.

There are always style points. The only difference between the NCAA ball tourney and the BCS are the number of teams selected.

There will be deserving folks that don't make it no matter the system. So get over

Why demand that they compete at all? Since these kids are clearly being forced against their will to do whatever we want them to, and none of them have any interest in proving that they are the best at what they do. Maybe they enjoy competing in sports. Maybe they want to show they are the best; and not just the best out of the 12 teams in their conference, the best in their sport at what they do.

The idea that a 10 -2, #9 team missing a shot at a championship is the same as an undefeated #3 (we seem to have one every year lately) missing a shot at one is silly.

The idea that they would have to do more is no less silly. Just eliminate a couple of those god-awful non conference cupcake games and you're set.

And repeating the term "college boys" over and over again like this is an NCAA sweatshop for orphans makes you sound like a moron. If competition offends you that much, don't watch. Consolation games are your thing, but that isn't the norm in this country.

I'd suggest you locate some balls and get over it, but those days are probably long behind you....

I don't know if everyone is happy, but I but I am more comfortable then what is basically a one game play-off for a "champion". Still don't understand how any one can support even the just the bowls over an actual play-off, it doesn't make it special to be the only similar sport to not have one, it just makes it odd.

U-M officially ends their pre-conference season at 10-2. Darius Morris, the big ten leader in assists, had another ridiculous statline: 26 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds, 0 turnovers.

Should be fun to see them step up in competition against #13 Purdue, #2 Ohio St and #3 Kansas over the next 3 weeks.

Wow good for U of M. I hope this team makes some strides to bringing us back to respectability. I'll def watch a few games.

Michigan signs place kicker Matt Goudis. Rivals #7, Scout #5, and ESPN #9. He decommited from Boise State to join the maize and blue. Season long of 54 yards (though likely off a tee) and he had another 52 yarder. It's also mentioned that he's pretty athletic for fake kicks, not sure on the relevance there for us.

Here's hoping he doesn't decide to suck once he gets here.
