Yeah but football is so much different than basketball. They can finish a bball game one day and play a few days later. Football they need at least a week to be ready for the next which means the tourny would have to be really small.
It's just not a great option IMO.F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

Bowl season is not boring, IMO. There may be too many bowls but, the quality of the wiscy/tcu game will be just as good IMO than it would be in a tourney setting. (people forget the shitty NCAA bball tourney games it seems to me)
You may need a "national champ". I do not. I don't think we will ever agree. To be a professional means that you don't die. - Takeru "the Tsunami" Kobayashi

You wouldn't need more than 16 teams to have a great tourney.

It has nothing to do with whether you 'want' a national champion or not. There is always going to be one. You can look it up.
The question is how do you determine who that champ is going to be. On the field or a popularity contest. I'd prefer on the field, most of the nation would agree, and the money that it would generate would be enormous.
I do agree that the TCU/Wisconsin game is interesting, but it wouldn't be less so in a elimination scenario.
TCU is undefeated. Don't they deserve a chance to win the National Championship? I think they do, yet they have none. Tourney elimanates this problem.Forever One!

I don't give a shut if TCU gets a "shot" at a national championship.
Half the fun of college football is arguing about who was the best. Michigan still is sore about having to share the national champ title with Nebraska. But who cares. That's part of the fun.
And I don't think college playoff games would be less compelling. I was only responding to those who said bowl games are not compelling. To be a professional means that you don't die. - Takeru "the Tsunami" Kobayashi

Big Ten may rethink football division names
Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany says a high non-approval rating from fans has the conference thinking it may reconsider the names – Leaders and Legends – given to the two new football divisions. The only logical explanation is:
I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder
