Perfectly descriptive word. I can't watch them play anymore. It literally (and I mean that literally) makes me ill.

    • He had a reputation of not being able to handle the press scrutiny very well at WVU. That part has been a very bad fit in Ann Arbor. The head coach at Michigan is going to get a lot of criticism, he has not handled it all that well.

It would have been a hoot for Rodriguez to actually coach Alabama.

      • The Alabama fans would have overrun the football building, dragged Rodriguez out into the street, hung him up by his heels, and used him as a human pinata.

        • It sounds like Urban Meyer resigned.

          • Sounds like he's doing it for his family, so I guess that cancels him out as a potential UM target.

Too bad. I for one would rather have Meyer (I think) then Harbaugh.

            • Rich Rodriguez to Florida sounds good to me.

              • Yes, that's exactly what Florida wants after their program has slipped a notch--a guy who went 15-21 at Michigan.

After the last time Meyer "resigned," claiming he needed to spend time with his family only to reconsider a few days later, I'm dubious. He's 46. I think he's eyeing a pro job.

I heard a rumor about a month ago that Meyer would come to Michigan or that he wanted to come to Michigan because the damage last between him and the University after the health scare last year.

                    • Interesting to see how long Meyer actually stays on the sideline. Given the tone of his announcement, I don't think he takes another job this year. But hypercompetive types can't stay out for long.

Of course, this also ups the ante, because Florida is a premier job, so you can expect they'll have interest in the same candidates UM would if they let RR go. Though I suspect Charlie Strong and Dan Mullen will be their main targets.

                      • The beauty about getting Meyer (and I know it's a pipe dream, just speaking hypothetically) is that you wouldn't have to completely rehaul the player personnel since he runs a spread. And I would guess that many of the recruits would stay or at least strongly consider it with an Urban Meyer hire.

                        • I can't see Meyer doing a quick turn around and going to another team without at least one season away from football.

Maybe Brandon could get a soft commitment from him for down the road and wait out another year with RR but thats a whole lot of question marks.

                            • Urban Meyer resigned to take the Michigan job?
