You'd think the Freep would learn that Rosenberg is the last person that should be writing about Rodriguez. It undermines every salient point made.

Well, my gosh, Chemi, I just don't know why the Freep keeps Rosenberg on its payroll. He's just clearly so biased and prejudiced in his reporting. I mean, it's obvious to everybody in the entire whole world. He should quit sportswriting, is what he should do. He should just post here on message boards along with other people who don't anything. It's a complete failure of common sense.

This writer composed an exaggerated article in an attempt to make a story at best, or make a journalistic hit piece at worst. Regardless, Rosenberg violated simple journalistic ethics to go after this guy... and then after it was revealed Rosenberg exaggerated the story, they let him keep going after the guy?

Rosenberg actually makes good points, but they're all muted because of the history Rosenberg has on this case. Is it really all that hard to assign Sharp or Albom or hell the assistant gofer to write the same article? Why let this guy go back on the attack with someone he has a blatant grudge against?

The Freep's sports editors have not been doing their jobs very well over the last five years or so... from Sharp using faked WIKIPEDIA quotes in an article, to Albom's utter work of fiction at the Final Four, to this... ugh.

It's merely another log on the fire I've had against the publication. It baffles me how a paper that in all other respects is one of the best in the nation can have such shoddy oversight in this one section.

Not sure what you're asking here. Herbstreit talks a lot was my point and his predictions don't have a great track record of being accurate. I like his analysis, just wish he'd concentrate more on that as it seems to be his strong suit.

I'm certainly not against a Division II or whatever they're called now coach. OSU has done well with Tressel and as you mentioned Bo and others were plucked from that level. It'll be interesting to say the least how the whole thing plays out.
