Afaik, illinois had been allowing 16 ppg before yesterday.
Yeah thats what makes RR so damn intriguing still after 3 bad seasons records. If he had even an average defense his team would be very very very good. And imagine if the kicking game was average...
If only you could just demote him to OC

Putting 67 on anyone is remarkable but when MSU played Illinois, they appeared to have the best Dline MSU had faced... I have revised that thought since the Iowa game unfortunately though. Still though I'm amazed at that feat.
It seems to me that if a school doesn't have the LB speed to handle the stretching of the field UofM does, they are pretty powerless against that RR attack. Not many schools out there can handle that (luckily MSU's defensive strengths are heavily weighted in their LB's... next year though? dunno).
Equally amazing is giving up 65. It's wild just how extremely good the offense is compared to how bad the defense is. Not sure I've seen anything that compares before.

16 in the nation Deac. (although they dropped to 40 something after the Michigan game)
In fairness to the UM defense, they gave up "only" 45 in regulation. They also were given a short short field often. There were also 15 possessions per side or something.
The PSU performance was much much worse. It was Lions level performance.

Kirk Herbstreit: "If the head coaching position opens up at Michigan Jim Harbaugh will be the head coach in Ann Arbor."
This isnt the same situation as the Miles incident tho. Herbstreit really fucked us and Miles a few days before the Championship game forcing Miles hand. Everyone knows Harbaugh wants a big time program and U of M is an obvious choice.
I hope it happens.
F#*K OHIO!!!

Can you imagine Harbaugh and Tressel going at it. I'd love it. Jimmy Harbaugh is crazy.

Really? With all the problems his program has had with arrests, I'd think UM would tend to steer clear of anything that could result in any negative stories with the next hire. I could see his name being thrown out there just as a way to show UM is looking at big name coaches.
That said, with the pipeline of talent he has going, don't know why Meyer would leave. Unless the internal issues within the program are wearing on him.
The word is that Meyer's health scare and Florida's response to it last year are making him think about leaving. I'm not sure if Michigan would go for him, but the interest is there from his side. I don't think the things that have happened at Florida have tainted him but i could be wrong.
Miles would still go there in a heartbeat if the situation arose.
Interesting. Plus, despite UM being a premier program, I'd imagine the pressure at UM wouldn't be as much as at Florida. It would still be high, but SEC fans and school expectations tend to be a little insane.
I think it will all come to naught though, since I think RR will beat Purdue and that will be enough to save his job, regardless of if (when?) he gets rolled by Wiscy and OSU.
