  • Guy has left nearly every game in the last 5 because of injury - that is injury prone. In the NFL you really don't want Rex Grossman under center every week.....

Slot receivers don't line up under center.

      • Slot receivers run right into LB's and Safeties territories though.

He has left nearly every game for a play or two because of injury. Because he runs the ball more than a running back.

Name a running back that doesn't come out of the game for a breather? Is every running back injury prone too??

Come one now. He would take one hit for every 5 he takes right now. He's not getting hurt on every play, he's missed a couple plays here and there with the exception of this game and the Iowa game. He would have been back in the bowling green game but it was a blowout.

            • Look, the entire College Football landscape says he's injury prone - not just me. They rely too much on a 190 lb guy to carry the load.

I agree that he's injury prone as a QB, and thus won't be a QB in the NFL barring, as I said, major strides. I was talking about slot receiver, where I think he'll be fine. There's a difference between 5-10 catches a game and 30-40 plays he gets hit per game right now. Then again he could have terrible hands, but that will all come out around the combine/senior bowl.

Right now I'm satisfied with how forcier plays as a backup with denard playing when he's healthy.

                • His skillset plays better defensively if we are talking NFL - problem is he's gonna need an adjustment period he simply won't get in College.

He's left two games early and did not return; he's left other games and remained out for several sequences. It's his build; he has matchstick legs and narrow hips. No padding. He looks like a D-back. He is liable to get hurt very badly at some point doing what he's doing.

I know its the common knowledge that he's "injury prone" but it's bullshit. If a RB misses a play or two after taking a shot, is he injury prone? No. And neither is Denard.

The way he plays QB (like a RB in many respects) means that he will miss a few plays, but not because he is injury prone.

Whatever Dodge. I know you went to Michigan and all, so you should be able to determine that Denard is almost exactly the same size as Chris Johnson. Another guy who was going to get hurt very badly at some point.

Why on earth would you think Denard would be better as a dback? He's averaging more than 7 ypc in the big ten. Some might say that's pretty decent production for a RB.

                      • Because he's not a RB - he's a QB.

If he was a RB he wouldn't be running to the sidelines all the time, he'd be taking the ball up the gut getting 1-2 yards to move the sticks.

His game is a speed game, and thats better suited to CB in the NFL than HB/RB.

Seriously, you are arguing about a guy who has to leave every game with what would otherwise be a normal RB workload? (20 carries a game). It's not like he's doing Mike Hart work here.

Do you watch the games? Denard runs off tackle almost exclusively.

and he has to leave a game for a play or two at a time. MUCH LIKE A NORMAL RB DOES CONSTANTLY.

Although I guess you have a point. Speed is exclusively the domain of CB's. There are no fast RB's in the NFL. Except for Jahvid Best. And Chris Johnson. And Jamaal Charles.

                          • Look, use the litmus test. How long do you think Denard Robinson would last behind the Lions O-line. Reckon he'd average more than Best? (3.3 YPC).

                            • No. Doesn't make him injury prone, nor a db. It makes him a Rb on a shitty rushing team.

                              • If anyone noticed QB Tate Forcier crushed over a guy viciously on the sideline late in the game by accident. It was Detroit reporter Don Shane, he's ok, but had to go to the hosp and get stitches. To bad it wasn't Rosenberg.
