You realize you've put forth a hypothesis--Michigan is just as cavalier about rule violations as everybody else--without offering proof. My proof that they're not is the banners they took down and the records they expunged. Here is a correspondence I had four years ago with a sportswriter who insisted there are no big name schools that respond in that way when faced with serious violations.

I'm still upbeat, actually. Denard's a soph. It's hard to keep it in perspective, but this was only his 6th start as a quarterback.

This loss? It sucks, but long term he'll be better for it. We still got 2 years of D-Rob and a 5 star RB coming on board next season. The offense is where it needs to be. They had an off game, but seeing this game gave me no reason to doubt their status as a top 10 offense in this country. Especially going forward.

The defense though? Umm, yeah. I'll get back to you on that.

MSU doesn't play osu this year.
IF they beat Michigan next week, its VERY LIKELY that they will play in a BCS game.
If Michigan beats MSU, its also LIKELY that they will play in a BCS game.
Basically this is the Battle for 2nd place in the Big Ten unless one of these teams is better than we think & somehow goes 12-0.

So what happens if MSU & OSU are both 12-0 ???? BCS CHAOS!
