    • I missed it completely. We had to install a new modem at the house, which meant our router had to be re-programmed, which meant, I was speaking to an Indian ('slurpee kind' according to Lisa Lampanelli), which meant I said "say that again please" 100+ times, all during the game. It was painful, but I think taking all the pain felt yesterday all at one time was the way to do it.

      • LOL! Drew. I have found that the best way to deal with those guys is to sign on to the chat function and communicate in writing. I do find if funny when type Mr. James when addressing me, though.

YOU watched the game with opposing fans? And nobody died?

            • I missed almost all of it. My daughter's volleyball tournament occupied us until about half time, and then when I got back the weather broke and the NBC affiliate was showing off all its Doppler radar and describing storm warnings 150 miles from here. Apparently enough irate fans called to complain that they reluctantly put a small screen with the game in the lower right hand corner of their storm coverage, with the reproachful weatherman saying--this is a quote--"We're sorry, fans, but lives are more important than football." I was entertaining my wife with "lives vs. football" philosophical analyses the rest of the evening. They even, honest to God, took the little screen off during commercials, so we could see their fucking Doppler weather in all its full, green-yellow-and-red glory.

              • McGuffie reminds me a little of Rob Lytle. So we're 1-2, here comes a 9 game winning streak. Ten wins, here we come! Losing Pryor to OSU (if he wasn't scarlet and grey all along) did seem to hurt. He didn't look too bad last night. USC is so good it's scary.

                      • Michigan just got another top DE in the country, Craig Roh Scout’s #6 defensive end in the 2009 recruiting class put the Michigan hat on today on ESPNU (over SC and recently Arizona). Michigan haters enjoy this season, the worries at defensive end are shattered by the coaching staff in a mere week. These RR guys can recruit.

                        • WV just lost in OT to Colorado, worst clock management ever - bar none at the end of the 4th by WV! Bill Stewart was a bad hire, I thought WV had too much talent for Stewart to flush that program down the toilet right away. I figured he'd have one good year before the slide started. Guess not, they will not even be in the Top 25 now. Michigan and WV records are the same 1-2

                            • I thought under Rodriguez, they had Miami and Oklahoma style recruiting classes. They were on the honor system--"Yes, your Honor; No, your Honor."
