  • I dunno. I don't know that I've ever seen a quarterback throw more long, nearly lateral passes to the sidelines. That can't possibly work in the conference. Those BG defenders looked like they had lead weights in their shoes.

    • Tate was 12 for 12 for 110 yds and a touchdown and had 4 carries for 30 more.

He was in for 4 drives and they scored touchdowns on all 4 drives. Again, I know it was against BG. But there's not much more you could ask for in a relief performance.

      Kudos to Tate.

Hey, they've been struggling with MAC teams in recent years, even in Lloyd's last few years. It's good to see them lay the wood to an inferior team. Hopefully they can carry the momentum into a solid Big Ten season.

        • Agree, Main.

So far they have beaten the teams that you would expect a Michigan team to beat. Their defense looks pretty weak, though. It will be interesting to see how they do against better teams.

          • Yep, the D is going to hurt them and I'm sure there will be games the offense struggles against strong, physical defenses. I'd think 5-3 would be the best they can do, maybe more like 4-4, but we'll see.

The sole purpose of those passes is to keep the CB/LB/S's outside to spread out the defense.

Michigan should beat Indiana, Purdue and Illinois. I think Iowa and State, both in the big house are toss ups. If Penn State doesn't pull it out of thier butts, thats a toss up too...

Ohio State and Wiscy will beat them by a couple of touchdowns IMO.

                • About what I think too, SLF, 2 for sure losses and at least one other lurking somewhere, very possibly 2.

                  • They have Denard Robinson and everybody else doesn't. That reason alone makes them impossible to gauge.

He takes many more hit from Bit Ten LB's like he has in these first four games, he may not make it to OSU, or even Iowa.

I see 8-4 and a decent bowl. Some higher tier bowl will take them with that record just to get to see Denard.

Had Denard stayed in fro at least the rest of the first half he would have had 200 yds rushing. His average is down to about 150 a game.

                      • i agree on your w/l prediction DL..

they cant keep the same Denard run the ball 20+ times a game and expect him to last long in the big ten schedule.

I had a gut feeling he was going to get hurt before the real season started.

                        • Ohio State and MSU have some serious linebackers too. But Denard keeps getting better and better with that arm, so maybe he can change gears a bit and shift to more passing and use his own RB more.

I think UofM's biggest problem/question is if they can stop a good running attack. The big ten has some very strong running attacks this year.

                          • Even with big blue in the top 25 and playing well on offense I cant help but hope for another collapse. I love this team but I hate RichRod so much. And the more I see Stanford killing it the more I want Harbaugh and his cocky attitude back home.
