I'd first want to see the Special Teams coach on the chopping block first.

The defense has at least occasionally made plays. The Special Teams have been a disaster every single time.

U-M kickers are something like 1 for 5 this season. Shankerup is averaging something like 35 yards a punt and has had one blocked.

I told the Michigan people Umass had a good team and a huge O-line. They have given K-state and Boston college fits. Did I think this was going top be this close... no. M's D looks terrible though and GR is a joke as a coach, RR's big mistake is not getting someone on that side of the ball who knows what hes doing.

Thought so too, but looking back it was probably the easier decision than to try the long field goal. Would have been interesting if a delay of game penalty had been called - the clock ran out before the snap. Would ND had been more alert with Spartans still lining up for the attempt?

The primary target receiver in the play was covered. ND was ready for the fake, just not ready enough.
