The Big 10 does need a championship game but messing with history blows. That's a tough one.Last edited by jaadam4; August 28, 2010, 02:28 AM.F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

The precedent is Nebraska/Oklahoma. But it seems like twisty turny logic to me to put Michigan and OSU in different divisions. I mean, west = UN, Minnesota, Iowa, Ill, NW, Wis, and east = Indiana, Purdue, M, MSU, OSU and PSU. It seems pretty simple and logical, but then the Big T1e2n makes a lotsa monay, so I defer to their greed inspired wisdumb.I made baseball as fun as doing your taxes!

It's silly and short sighted. College football is one of the last bastions of tradition in the country, and really that is its big draw.
The pros play the game better.
It doesn't have the upset cinderella type stories of NCAA basketball.
It has tradition. The more you screw with that tradition, the less relevant it becomes as its own product. To be a professional means that you don't die. - Takeru "the Tsunami" Kobayashi

College Football had one such story right in front of them last season.
They decided to throw that team up against another "mid-major" to make sure another Boise St./Oklahoma wasn't going to happen.
They go out of their way to prevent Cinderella in college football. The stories could be there if they allowed it.

I like seeing the "little guy" get their shot, even if 9/10ths of the time they don't measure up. I like systems that invite all challengers. Right now, in college football, I see a system that eliminates pretty much everyone except 16 teams before the first snap is ever taken. That frankly, doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.Last edited by chemiclord; August 28, 2010, 01:44 PM.
