  • Inside man: Agree on Miles. Miles has proven to be a bad gameday coach. The U-M is known for those winged helmets. The football team must successful. If Brandon says Harbaugh is the man to lead them back, he'll be hired. Money speaks loudest.

    • If Brandon says Harbaugh is the man, it's going to be this RichRod mess all over again with one half of the organization outright trying to sabotage Harbaugh's every effort.

      • Certainly wouldn't need or want that again. I take it you're saying it would be a different faction than the one who supported Les Miles? I think Harbaugh would be readily accepted by the football people. Judging by the lack of good candidates when Rodriguez was hired, Harbaugh might look awfully attractive when the time comes.

        • It doesn't matter how attractive Harbaugh looks.

There's an element that has pretty much disowned Harbaugh after his comments (who knows how much it overlaps with the Les Miles camp or the Lloyd Carr camp or the Rich Rodriguez camp or whatever other camps exist). You may think it's no big deal, but they do. Harbaugh might as well have committed treason.

You don't understand how much pride and appearances mean to the clowns in Ann Arbor. To them, if the Wolverines hire Harbaugh, it might as well be proving him right, and that is unacceptable.

I don't know if there is any coach that would satisfy everyone in the U-M honestly. It's a clusterfuck over there. They might have to try and find a promising coach from the lower divisions, because someone with clout is going to be pissed off by any big name coach the Wolverines try to hire, I swear.

          • The problems with RichRod start and end with 8-16.

If he was 20-4, everyone would love his ass...same thing with Harbaugh.

Maybe. Question is could Harbaugh (or anyone, for that matter) get a 10-2 season with half the administration considering him slightly below Benedict Arnold?

Signs point to; not a chance in hell.

                        And then what, jaadam?

Harbaugh? Great! Start another round of infighting. That went over so well this time!

Miles? That ship has sailed. Lloyd Carr pretty much ensured that Miles's name can't ever be linked to Michigan ever again. Not that Miles is all that great to begin with.

If Rodriguez is shoved out the door, I think the Wolverines pretty much have to look to the lower divisions and promote from there. Then again, I remember the last time they tried that... turned out pretty well if you listen to the maize and blue faithful.

Maybe Michigan will be better than a MAC team in 5 years by then? But who knows? I have been told Harbaugh will never be the HC, this was from a media person I know. (Not that he's right)

                          • Honestly I dont give a rats ass who's HC after this season as long as its not RichRod. He's the Matt Millen of the U of M program. Get him the f out of dodge. I want our school tradition back. I want a pocket QB and a team that can run the ball down OSU's throats. Give me big OL and DL again and a bowl game every year and this boy will be happy.
