Deb i loved so much of what Sorkin's done. Sports night had so much potential. Newsroom seems like a reprise of Studio 60 with its initial premise of a venerable icon who goes off the reservation with an anti establishment rant. Sorkin's had a couple of casting problems before. First Robert Guillame had a stroke which hurt sports night. Then Amanda Peet got pregnant during studio 60's early phase.



I'm going to wait on Newsroom till season 2 opens then catch up on it via netflix if the show lives.

I like How I Met Your Mother a lot. It's a great show but it wouldn't crack my top 5 sitcoms. Maybe not even my top 10.

Man Coop - that Mike character sure faded in this past season. At one time, he was always one step ahead of everyone and almost mythical. In the last several episodes, he made dumb mistakes that any idiot could see when dealing with Walter.

I was a bit disappointed in how they handled that character. Gus, OK...you took him out earlier than I would have liked. But Mike? Come on...when did he get stupid?

I guess it could be argued that Gus gave Mike all the structure he needed, and allowed him to do what he does best without worrying about a bunch of other stuff - and that once Gus was out of the picture, Mike was in over his head. But c'mon, he shouldn't have lost the sixth sense that he seemed to have...

I'm finally current - ending of Episode 7 was indeed a "fade" for Mike. Does seem like everything closed in on him. Going after his lawyer, while feasible seemed like a bit of a stretch the way it went down. And the park scene - how did they know Mike was there but still he escapes? It doesn't seem his style to trust anyone.

Ending of episode 8 seemed like another jump "ahead" similar to the opening of season 5. I'm not exactly sure why Gilligan is doing this, although now we know Hank now knows who WW is.

Sons of Anarchy was pretty good. this seasons plots were wide open. Sutter's done a good job of writing the show so far. We saw an awful lot of Katie Segal last night too.

Slowly catching up to technology, with 'On Demand' I have downloaded and watched almost to the end of season 2 of 'Homeland'. What a great show, no wonder it has such a buzz about it.
