My problem with this season was the inconsistencies of the later episodes. I don't think they mixed the Electra and The Punisher stories that well later in the season. The trial lasted 3-4 episodes maybe? I agree though that it should have been shorter.
Example: One of my favorite GoT's episode is about a trial and it only lasted for one episode.
Idk if anyone has seen "Dexter" (great show), but basically S2 "Daredevil" is VERY similar to S2 "Dexter."
The entire Matt-Electra relationship compared the Dexter-Lila. Difference is "Dexter" did a much better job mixing that relationship with the other problems facing the protagonist, Dexter. I was hoping "Daredevil" would achieve that, but it fell flat.
The Hand and Black Sky thing was also meh... Boring.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

It's going to be great because nobody knows what will happen without the books.
Plus I've avoided spoilers and trailers for season 6.
Only 23 episodes left, I'm ready for someone else to take Kings Landing (Littlefinger maybe?).
All of the characters that were spread apart in the last few seasons should start to come together too.
The budget for season 6 increased from $60 million to $100 million. I expect an epic season.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Wait. There's only 23 more episodes in the entirety of the show?
What am I going to do! I still didn't watch the one from yesterday. Because it came on at 3am. Now I'm trying to decide if I should stack a few episodes or watch them week to week.F#*K OHIO!!!

I'm sure HBO will want that number to be 30 to make money... something CBS would do.
I'll side with the writers of GoT and want 23 if that's what they believe in. Quality over quantity.
My opinion: watching week to week = the best. Spread the joy over a long time. The only TV series I ever binged watched was "Breaking Bad" and I feel like I lost out on some of the greatness.
Also, last nights episode was good. Very solid opening episode. If episodes 7-10 are always great (except season 2), I can't wait for the finish.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Episode 3 of GoT was solid.
The 3rd episode of a GoT season is always a "bridge episode"... And that is exactly what it was.
I am getting fatigued by a couple things:
1. Deaths.
Since episode 7, season 4, I think there has been a "major" death in every episode. That has made the impact of each new death less enjoyable just to me.
2. Stabbing in the back.
Seriously, how many times will a death involve being stabbed in the back by someone else.
3. Dialogue
Since there isn't a book to reference to, the writers have pretty much had to come up with new dialogue for most of the show (roughly since season 5). I'm not upset about the plot points, rather the loss of implicit meaning in dialogue that seasons 1-4 did so well.
Most conversations in GoT now relate to past events (past tense subjects).
GoT is absolutely my favorite show, but I'm starting to see a decline in some aspects that I loved in seasons 3-4.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
