Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

I want to keep something light available too. Sometimes you only have room for a 20 minute show. That list is not prioritized though. I know you love True detective, any feedback on the rest?Benny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."

I've stayed away from sitcoms so long. I think the last one I watched regularly was Sportsnight (yeah, that long ago) .
I did go through Big Bang Theory and it was amusing. I have no desire for other shows like Two and half men, two broke girls, new girl, etc.Benny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."

Entourage would be a good half hour show to invest in. You might also add Californication in there.
I love Homeland, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and the Sopranos.
You really can't go wrong in starting anywhere on that list.#birdsarentreal

Except for The Shield. It doesn't belong with most of those on the list.
I think Deadwood would be a good place to start.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I think you should start with Breaking Bad and move on to The Wire and then The Shield.

I do agree with Deadwood. That was definitely a great show.

I wound up surprising myself and starting Newsroom next. It's pretty good. I've watched the first two breaking bad episodes and am ambivalent on it so farBenny Blades~"If you break down this team man for man, we have talent to compare with any team."

I watched the shield for a season, maybe a little more, but lost interest.
I think it got pretty stupid quickly.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on
