Yeah the lead actress in The Blacklist is pretty bad. But I love James Spader. Always have. And his character in that show is perfect for him.

No, im not a real big action guy - more into good drama. Maybe after Breaking Bad everything show didn't look good? Though AMC pushed this show hard and its rating are terrible, so im not alone.
The story of Frank and the (ugly) Russian hooker seemed really lame to me, he killed a cop for her. Didn't really get going to the ex's house in Ann Arbor either, Frank is nothing but a stalker, the ex cop sleeping on Randolph st near the bar his ex wife runs? Seriously these guys need to grow a pair when it comes to women.

Ah I didn't realize there was a tv thread lol.
I'm almost through season 2 of "Breaking Bad" (watching it for the first time).
I absolutely love it!
I also watch Parks and Rec (obviously), The Walking Dead, and South Park.
I have had Netflix since August and have started and re-watched several tv series. That includes "The Office", "Blue Mountain State", "The Walking Dead" and "Arrested Development."AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Yes, Spader has been great. Totally the show here, my concern is - this isn't a continuing story line, so how many interesting evil Blacklisters can be out there? I guess they have the 'real' plot-line - Who the husband is? Who he works for? And what does he want?

Yeah I can see how some wouldn't like LWS. It's by no means perfect but for whatever reason I thoroughly enjoyed it and am hoping for a second season.
As for Frank killing a cop for a hooker -- I mean yeah when you boil it down that's essentially what it was, but it's more than that. Hooker or not the guy fell in love, and love can make you do funny things, and that was no ordinary cop he and Geddes killed. That cop was oozing corruption. Affiliated with drug dealers and organized crime bosses and killed at the drop of a hat.
That cop deserved what he got regardless.AAL: KhaDarel Hodges

They were about to cancel the funniest network shows next to The Big Bang Theory?
Idiots.
IMO, all 3 shows I listed are pretty damn funny. All new shows start slow until the cast gets comfortable with each other. They are noticeably more comortable now and it shows in the banter.
pands
Each of those shows is only on like their 4th or 5th (?) week of being on TV. How can you cancel after only 1-2 weeks of ratings? That's stoopid.
Btw, have they found a way to include/count DVR'd shows in their stats?Last edited by Panoptes; November 8, 2013, 07:14 PM.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

NBC had a show that was pretty good last year, but I don't think anyone would know the name. 'Do No Harm' was canceled after 2 shows (what a joke). I think it was SYFY that later pick up and showed the remaining shows that were already taped and had good ratings. (?)

Not in the past, not now, not ever. Well, maybe in the distant past. The original Night of the Living Dead scared the shit out of me when i stayed up late with my older cousins and watched it when i was five. Today i lol at how stoopid it was.
Its so lame, its unwatchable.
But, i have to fess up that when we did our big road trip up the left coast a few years back now, I planned a stop in Forks, WA where the Twilight movies were filmed to let my wife, a big fan of the genre, visit the Twilight store.
I waited outside for her and the kid.
i just read the store burned down....hmmmm, not suspicious at all.
