We stayed and helped out doing mindless chores but really we were just hanging out enjoying the place. Yellowstone to me captures the absolute daunting hard work cowboys go through but also the beauty of it. There’s scenes in Yellowstone that perfectly show that brotherhood without anyone saying anything.

The show also has the insanely rich part of things to keep the story interesting for all different types but for me the cowboy plots are really well done even if it is just Hollywood. Kevin Costner does a damned good job as well.

    • Watched the first two episodes of “The Bear.” So far, so good. Basically a drama/ comedy with the story of “Restaurant Impossible” featuring Lip from “Shameless.” Interesting…. It’s a good sign when there’s a lot of energy to the series and time goes by fast while watching.

I am sooo far behind my MCU streaming. Was nearly up to date then for a year plus, where I work, We 6 days a week and I worked overnight 10-6. Then a little over a year ago we went 12 hours 7-7.... 2 on and 2 off with Sundays off for everyone at the main Street plant. I hate these hours.

That is a long way of saying haven't gotten to it yet.

                      • Don't worry about catching up on MCU. The first thing you have to watch is the return of Raylan Givens.

                        • Finished up a few TV series that I had outstanding for quite a while…

                          ”The Last Kingdom” (Netflix) -
The best way to describe this series is poor man’s peak Game of Thrones. I think it was a consistently enjoyable and good viewing experience, but never at the same level as other elite TV series. Highlighting again how at least it was consistent. Didn’t fall off a cliff like many TV series happen to do… guilty pleasure vibes. Fun medieval times battles and action. 8/10

                          ”Better Call Saul” (Netflix) -
To my surprise after a decent season 1, it lived up to the Breaking Bad hype. Incredible characters, story, entertainment, and everything you would ask for. I don’t know if it’s at Breaking Bad’s GOAT level, but it’s really close. 10/10

                          ”Mindhunter” (Netflix) -
Very fascinating and chilling crime drama from David Fincher. Does an excellent job with the main characters and script. I’m just disappointed there isn’t going to be a season 3 because there’s more to tell. 8/10

                          ”Truth Seekers” (Amazon) -
Really hoped for better from Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, but this series turned out to be meh. Recommend to pass. 5/10

”Mr. Robot” season 4, “The Sopranos” season 6, and several others ongoing. Then next big one up is “Sherlock.”

                          • Finished watching the Sopranos (again) with my son (first time) a couple weeks ago.

I thought it was great the first time I saw it, but felt it was even better the second time around. There were so many memorable scenes that I remembered and many more that I had forgotten about. So much foreshadowing and set-up throughout.

SPOILERThe first time I watched I thought that at the end, it was just the end and Tony lived on, probably because as evil as he was, he was so damn likable and it was hard to accept that one of the best characters in TV history had been killed. On rewatch it is pretty obvious that he got whacked.

"It’s clear, though, that the sudden cut to black represents the end of Tony Soprano’s life. Earlier in the series, Tony’s friend Bobby said to him, “You probably don’t ever hear it when it happens, right?” And that’s it, a cut to black and silence, no explanation as to exactly what happens. You don’t see yourself lying dead in your bowl of pasta. Life, the show, is simply over. Done and dusted.

Following the uproar surrounding the show’s finale, David Chase explained to The Hollywood Reporter: “Tony was dealing in mortality every day. He was dishing out life and death. And he was not happy. All I wanted to do was present the idea of how short life is and how precious it is. The only way I felt I could do that was to rip it away.”

I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

Agreed on both of these comments. Mindhunter needed at least another season and Sherlock is awesome
