Had a phone interview today for a job that sounds perfect for me. I really am not a fan of phone interviews but I felt like this one went really well, and sure enough, I got a call back from the recruiter and am scheduled to have 2 more phone interviews and a face to face in the next week or so. Excited! The only problem is... I already accepted a position that I am not too excited about and am supposed to start on the 25th. I would prefer not to even start it but I don't know if I will have an offer that soon from the one today. Not sure how I'm going to handle this - I guess I will play it by ear and see how things unfold..."I ain't the type to bitch, I ain't the type to cry, I will sit at your red light and wait for your shit to go by."

Thanks guys. After that he decided he'd rather eat them himself than give them to the seagulls.

But why would you feed those sky rats?
Seagulls and pigeons are such vile creatures.
Kay, that's awesome about the phone interview. Having too many opportunities is not a bad problem. I hope things work out so that you can do what you want.2015 AAL - Ezekiel "Double Digit Sacks" Ansah.

Before you watch, sorry for the little girl yelling for her mom (it's really loud). Yes, I am going to cut Tyler's hair soon, so he doesn't look like a girl. No, I am not going to cut my hair or beard anytime soon.

Funny moments in speech therapy:
I have a student that I see regularly. he is a pretty big behavior problem.....I deal with many behavior problems at my school. But he is in speech for an articulation problem with his /s/ sound (stopping).
Anyway the child is in front of me and I'm giving him the business. I tell him that I am tired of him just sitting in my classroom and next time i'm going to give him a nasty job to do.......the child says "what kind of job"......I say "I think I'll make you scrub the toilets".....the child says (think speech problem) "what are you going to do? Just shit there?"

My brother is the director of food and beverage at a very exclusive, local country club. Today, the 44th president of the United States of America will be coming to his country club to spend the weekend golfing. Regardless of your politics, pretty cool to be serving the leader of the free world.Your right! Matty Boy will save us all!!

Ha! I would get a bigger dog if they didn't throw my daughter into an asthma attack just by touching her.
You are a wise man, Cat. Funny though - I found out this morning that job A (that I'm supposed to start on the 25th) is significantly more $$ than I originally thought, so that changes the picture a bit.
Job A = low stress, lots of flexibility, but kind of a dead end in terms of advancement opportunities. I'd just be an admin asst in an industry that is new to me.
Potential job B = same industry I've built my career in, large company, lots of opportunity for advancement (and potential relocation), but less flexibility and more stress.
Don't have an offer yet on job B so it might be a moot point or one hell of a conundrum - on verra!"I ain't the type to bitch, I ain't the type to cry, I will sit at your red light and wait for your shit to go by."

Take job A and if job B sends an interest, tell them you are already employed and they have to make an offer that is too good to refuse. (......note: do not give specifics of your current job other than telling them you are making 20% more than what you expect with other bennies that are negotiable......and your interview time needs to be given at least XX hours in advance)Last edited by Malto Marko; February 15, 2013, 05:59 PM.I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
