Cool, Malto.
"I bet that was cool DanO."
----------------------Very cool but then it depends on your circumstances for meeting. Let me offer an explanation........................I saw a cougar back in 1992. thought it was exceptionally cool. It was getting dark and as I sat there I realized I had to walk out of the woods in the dark. Bears don't scare me as they are mostly scavengers, coyotes are a pack item and they howl on the run to kill. Wolves are similar. Cougars hunt solo and, being cats, sneak up on their prey and jump them. When I realized this I couldn't get the thought out of my mind that I was beung hunted. I left the woods before darkness.GO LIONS "24" !!

Pumas rule!
They are still hanging around the edges of Orange County. We routinely camp in a rural outskirts OC county campground that has the latest cougar sightings in and around the area posted at check in as a WARNING! Many times the sightings are within a weeks time.
It's their land and I respect them bcz of what Dano posted. They have been known to kill and maim unsuspecting slackers at times in them there hills above us in the OC.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

This mauling happened years ago in the campground we use:
A 12-year-old El Toro girl partially paralyzed from being mauled by a mountain lion in a county park will receive $1 million in payments over her lifetime, according to a tentative settlement reached Thursday with Orange County.
This gruesome one in more recent years in OC:
This capture was made a few months back in the same area:
This video is of that same puma from the story just above.....this is an oft used regional park
