      • When I think of Scotland I think of St. Andrews. I also loved the book, Long Way Down by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman who set off on a 15,000 mile motorcycle trip from John O'Groats to Cape Town South Africa.

        • When I think of Scotland, I think of drunken, stumbling Scottsman in skirts.

Btw, my daughters middle name is SKYE because she is part Scottish and SKYE is an Isle there.

I don't know how things will work out for her but the poor thing is mostly part Irish, Scottish, American/Mexican.

If she doesn't watch out, she's going to have a liver that is going to need to work overtime due to her family heritage.

          • We may drink a lot......, but you'll never see us drink driving,......., feckin spill it all over the dashboard. Total waste.

Isle of Skye......, not exaggerating, but truly one of the nicest places on Earth. Your daughter can be proud of her name.

            • Easy solution, Marko. Keep all four wheels on the road and the liquid stays in the container.

              Man up!
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

On a scale of 1-10 how big of a mistake would it be to skip the Isle of Skye?

Oh dear SLF, have you been speaking with my wife?........, everything is scales from 1-10. She regularly asks me, "why are you only a 4 honey?"

I would say Skye would be a major mistake to miss at a number 9/10 IF it was going to be your only visit to Scotland. If you are planning a few trips over a few years then it'd be ok to leave Skye til another time as both Edinburgh and Glasgow and places like loch ness can take time to visit and make worthwhile.

                        • I liked Kansas' humour. Very good. That's like me saying I like the USA for their German cars and the Le Mans 24 hr.

It's not as funny when I do it though. That was total shit.
