  • "Just out of curiosity, since the page doesn't say, how much are the Eggs?"
-----------------------Last time I looked I think it was around $1000.00......and that wasn't for the big one.

"That's what I though when I bought my 1st one, but it is worth every penny"
----------------------Let me rephrase that. Given my current attorney fees, the fact I've been busting my ass working OT to stay afloat and being able to supple my children with a modicum of Christmas presents I don't feel this is a prudent move at this time in my life.

that's what I thought until I ate food cooked on one. Since I've had mine, 4 of my friends have purchased one after eating food cooked on mine. And in reality, it's not that expensive, considering it will last forever, can't say that about metal grills

Thanks. I'm sure anyone selling them here would jack the price up about double. They look cool, but something like that will have to wait until we have a house.

              • I've researched the Egg before. Also their competition(.http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CCgQ8gIwAg# It's something I'll consider once I win this court battle.) As DWT says. These Ceramics will last for ever.

Check Craigslist for a better deal.

I know buying from anyone other than an authorized B&M store voids the lifetime warranty but if they are so well made, you won't need to worry about any returns but you will save a bundle over retail.

                      • MY FIL uses 2 ceramic smudge pots (1 on top of the other) as a poor mans BGE.

                        His meat is delicious!

                          • Maybe I should go back and re-edit that 2nd line?

Smudge pots are used in agriculture to help keep the crops warm during the winter season when the temp gets near freezing.

Out here, there are a lot of oranges, grapes, avocados, lemons, etc....that are grown year round.
