Holy cats! I was able to sleep for 7 consecutive hours last night. This is the for the first time in over a year that I have slept for for more than 3 hours at a stretch. (other than when I was zonked out in OR)

Conbination of things, Deb. Was stress over the cancer previously, I was given some sleeping pills but they only agrivated my vertigo and made things worse. Since my last operaton (Dec. 16th) it has been my body trying to become re-adjusted to normalcy. On the average, I make 18 trips a day to the men's room. some a little better, some a little worse, record is 30 from 12 midnight to 12 midnight (yeah, I've been keeping track). Doctor calls it clustering and says 6 months to a year to me to get back like I was. Still better than the alternative. Funny, I had just mentioned to Teresa how I went to bed at 11:30 Friday night and woke up feeling refreshed only to discover it was 2:20 AM.

To say the least, I was quite surprised to wake up this morning to see light peeking around the curtains. Maybe the start of something good.

Naw, just the surgery taking effect.

I have to admit also that when my bride is next to me in bed, I wake up often, but it is for different reasons than visiting the head.

btw, Dinner with Drew made my day. Drew is a great guy, and really missed his calling as a baseball announcer. He would have the best voice for baseball I think I've ever heard.

That is interesting. If I was ever allowed to do baseball games, I wouldn't last long...I'd get fired for throwing too many profane superlatives out.

I got home last night. They ended the exercise 18 hours early, which made my day. The weather in the SEATAC area was simply awesome. The middle of February and just about every day I was there (a week and a day) it got up to near 60?
