When do you get to move and what options are you looking at (curiously)?
I missed this post, Rom.
Luckily for us, this was only a two year tour.
I have orders back to the Mobile AL area this coming summer, probably mid-June. We will probably move back into the same town that we lived in before we came here. We'll be able to put the kids back into the same school district that they were in before we moved. Pretty good deal for them and they are really looking forward to it.
Over the last 27 years, I have lived all over the place and have found that, bible belt politics notwithstanding, I like living in the south. I like the weather (I hate cold weather and snow) and the pace.

Yeah, It will be two year in July. Ashore officer in charge jobs are four years and patrol boat officer in charge jobs are two. I spent four years in Burlington VT and then four years at Dauphin Island AL before this job. My next job will take me to 30 years in the Coast Guard and retirement.
We'll go back to Alabama and my pretty much middle of the road political views will make me a bleeding heart liberal... Ha!
