Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

A new digital SLR (en route) makes my day.
The Nikon D90 and a 18-200mm VR II lens should make for some great pics going forward.
My little girl is growing so fast, I don't want to continue missing shots with a compact digital camera anymore.
Sorry Deb, tried to make the purchase through Amazon but couldn't get any authorized dealers to match my purchase at www.Buydig.com (<--- highly recommended).19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING

G, we only get a commission ranging from 4-6 percent from Amazon. That means $4 for a hundred dollar purchase. Certainly no reason to pay more at Amazon for that. They do have good prices on a lot of stuff, but not everything.
Have you purchased from that site before?#birdsarentreal

There are so many fly by night electronic scam sites that it took me a good couple of weeks to weed out the frauds from legit, culminating with my memorial holiday w/e purchase from them. They showed up using one of those Pricegrabber.com or Nextag.com price comparison sites leading up to Memorial day. Up until then, I had never heard of them. They are apparently growing fast.
As always, I researched the on-line seller at www.resellerratings.com
They were obviously legit so I did the deed (with additional credit card assurance I have).
The Nikon D90 camera body I bought has since gone up $50.00 on their site which would have put them closer to Amazon prices (at the time of purchase) but still less overall.
I call them highly recommended because so far they are processing as one would hope. They called me to verify my purchase and mailing address. They got it out via Fed Ex during their next biz day with a provided tracking number and my CC was charged exactly as authorized. Unless the product shows up DOA, their site can comfortably be recommended.Last edited by Panoptes; May 29, 2009, 04:27 PM.19.1119, NO LONGER WAITING
